Luzz Minions Cannon Paddle

Very good.

The Luzz Minions Cannon surprised me the first time I used it. I expected a gimmicky paddle because of the Minions design, but it actually plays like a serious thermoformed power paddle. The first thing I noticed was the pop — drives, counters, and overheads come off the face fast with very little effort. It feels lively and aggressive, especially during fast kitchen exchanges. Topspin serves dip nicely, and flicks feel sharp and controlled.

What I liked most is how fun it feels to attack with. If you enjoy speed-ups and aggressive play, this paddle rewards confidence. The elongated shape gives extra reach and leverage, which helps a lot on volleys and overheads. However, it’s not the most forgiving paddle. The sweet spot feels smaller than softer control paddles, and resets can pop up if your touch isn’t consistent. Overall, though, it performs way above its price range and feels like a budget-friendly alternative to premium power paddles.

Just started with pickleball, chose the minions for some fun during a game, never expected to be more fun with the performance.
